Sunrise Chick Sales is a division of Sunrise Farms, one of the largest chicken processors in Canada, with facilities in British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario. Role: A Chicken Catchers' role is to work as part of a team to guide chickens into a loading area and load them into crates. Must be able to perform repetitive tasks and be physically capable of repetitive heavy lifting of approx. 40 lbs. \n Responsibilities Set up equipment for safe operations Guide chickens into loading area in humane manner Loading of poultry into holding crates on to transport truck Work as a team to handle chickens without startling or angering birds Manual collection of chickens Requirements Able to lift up to 40lbs Comfortable working with livestock Working Conditions Transportation from your home, to and from the job site. The Chicken Catcher is responsible for guiding chickens into loading areas and manually loading them into crates for transport. They must work as part of a team to ensure the humane handling of poultry while maintaining safe equipment operations.

Candidates must be physically capable of performing repetitive tasks and lifting up to 40 lbs. Comfort working with livestock is required for this role.
