Sunterra Horticulture is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring that all manufacturing equipment and building systems operate at peak efficiency. They troubleshoot and repair equipment to keep production running safely and producing quality product at target speed. Using their knowledge and experience, they provide insight to improve equipment to deliver better performance. - Respond quickly to repair equipment and components to minimize downtime- Work closely with Production Supervision, Process Engineering and management to determine priorities and courses of action to improve uptime, product quality and employee safety- Plan and perform maintenance activities for shutdowns- Participate in the improvement of our preventative maintenance system- Assist in the implementation of new PM procedures and use it to control and record maintenance activities Qualifications:- Strong ability to troubleshoot and problem solve equipment issues- Ability to plan, organize, multi-task, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment- Able to work independently and as part of a team Education & Experience:- 3+ years' experience in a maintenance technician role- Technical knowledge of motors, conveyors, pumps, valves, pneumatic systems, automated manufacturing equipment, feedback systems- Knowledge safeguarding and safety procedures- Understanding of PLC's and automated equipment considered an asset Job Requirements:Must read, write, and speak EnglishMust have reliable transportation to and from work To view full job description, please visit Company's career site.
