The Area Operations Manager will ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable execution of propane delivery and service across Districts, including ancillary business lines. This role is central to Superior’s operational excellence and is accountable for frontline execution aligned with enterprise-wide strategies. The candidate selected for this role must be willing and within a reasonable distance to commute to various site locations in SW Ontario. What you'll do: Strategic Mandate Execute delivery and service operations safely and efficiently across assigned Districts. Align with peers and leadership on the execution of strategic initiatives as directed by the Operations Leader. Focus on frontline execution, with strategic planning, routing, scheduling, and workforce planning centralized in other functions. Field Workforce Management Lead, coach, and develop field teams, ensuring productivity, compliance, and safety. Provide input to centralized workforce planning and enforce efficiency programs (e.g., overtime control, idle-time, fuel cost, route adherence). Foster a high-performance culture and build a robust succession pipeline. Delivery & Service Execution Oversee adherence to delivery protocols and service standards. Ensure route and schedule compliance, minimize customer churn, and manage seasonal labour capacity. Collaborate with Commercial teams to address customer feedback and issue resolution. Operational Efficiency & Partnerships Manage propane and parts inventory at the field level and report variances. Liaise with Logistics, Network/Fleet/Service, HSE and other Corporate Functions (i.e. Sales/Marketing, HR, IT, Finance, etc.) to address process issues and improve efficiency. Monitor and enforce KPIs, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. Safety & Compliance Oversight Promote a culture of safety and regulatory compliance. Ensure adherence to Department of Transport and enterprise HSE standards. Performs other related duties as assigned. What you bring: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in relevant field, preferred fields are Operations Management, Business Administration/Management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety Leadership. 10+ years of direct industry experience in a leadership role may be considered in lieu of degree. 5+ years of relevant experience required, 10+ years of relevant experience preferred. Valid driver’s license and access to vehicle. Salary: $97,700 - $122,100 annually (based on skills, experience, qualifications, and geography).
