Reporting to the Director of Pricing, the Pricing Analyst brings value to the business by ensuring that the Superior Propane pricing structure is being applied effectively and accurately to customer accounts. Assists with the maintenance of pricing grids and implements changes. Identifies opportunities to maximize profitability and makes recommendations based on their pricing knowledge. Provide internal customer service to the regions and works with them to ensure they reach their financial goals in regards to pricing. What you'll do: Develop & prepare analytical reports to review the accuracy of account pricing and identify pricing discrepancies. Initiate the pricing corrections by bringing the discrepancy forward to the Pricing Specialist and/or making the adjustment according to the pricing grid. Maintain regional pricing grids and coordinate pricing changes accurately and in a timely manner as per the updated rack to maintain budgeted margins and notify customers of pricing changes. Recommend & implement rack tactics to optimize profitability and ensure incremental costs are recovered. Analysis of transportation fees and tank rentals to assess overall customer profitability. Liaise with the sales team and provide general pricing support; review new sales deals for optimized profitability (including putting together fixed price/hedging deals). Identify opportunities to improve margins on customer accounts and identify sales opportunities Review account set-up and pricing to ensure that costs are being accurately applied as per the contract ensuring that budgeted margins are achieved. Respectfully handle and maintain confidential information on customer accounts, pricing and analysis. Liaison with other Pricing Analysts and the Pricing Specialists to determine and apply best practices. What you bring: Community college diploma or equivalent in applicable field, university degree preferred. Minimum 3 years previous experience in an analyst role. Previous experience in a pricing function. Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of business; commodity pricing exposure an asset. Experience working with large data sets to conduct analysis and provide actionable recommendations. Good interpersonal skills with a high level of honesty and integrity. Well organized and strong time management skills. Ability to multitask and handle multiple deadlines and changing priorities. Solid team player with exceptional oral and written communication skills. Intermediate-advanced computer skills with exposure to the ADDs ERP considered an advantage. Strong Microsoft Excel skills required. English proficiency is required to support the full Canadian business. Fluency in French, both written and verbal, is required. Salary: $69,300 - $86,550 annually (based on skills, experience, qualifications, and geography).
