Responsive Children Supports offers specialized residential and community-based services for children and youth with complex needs. Our dedicated team provides individualized, one-to-one support within a residential home setting, empowering young people with developmental disabilities and/or emotional and behavioural challenges to develop new skills, build meaningful relationships, and experience a positive quality of life. Responsibilities The responsibilities of this position may include, but are not limited to the following: Deliver quality, specialized services in accordance with Supported Lifestyles' mission, philosophy, agency, and position standards. Provide direct, front-line support to children and youth in a residential home setting and in the community. Support individuals through community integration, skill learning, and positive quality of life. Deliver behavioural and emotional support, including implementation of behavioural support plans and data collection. Assist with personal care, including bathing, toileting, and personal hygiene. Support home maintenance tasks, including cooking and laundry. Administer and document medication in accordance with organizational policies and individual care plans. Participate in recreational and community activities alongside the children and youth you support. Facilitate individualized programming that promotes skill development, independence, and community integration. Provide de-escalation support and crisis management as needed. Document and maintain accurate client records, case notes, and reports. Provide any other specialized supports as required based on the needs of the individual. Qualifications/Requirements Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental health challenges is an asset. Experience providing personal care (e.g., assisting with bathing, toileting, and personal hygiene) is an asset. Post-secondary education in a related field is an asset (e.g., Human Services, Child and Youth Care, Social Work, Psychology, etc.). Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Valid Class 5 Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle is an asset. Current First Aid/CPR certification is an asset. Compensation The salary range for this position is $19.38 - 20.21 CAD per hour.
