Overview JR Inventory Technician (Heavy Equipment) – Entry level Sureway Construction is one of Alberta’s largest heavy construction contractors, involved in; civil earthworks and grading, utilities and offsite, mine operation and aggregate extraction. We offer: Benefits, RRSP/TFSA Matching, Boot Allowance, and a state-of-the-art shop to work in Job Type: Full Time, Permanent Schedule: 10+ Hours/day, Saturdays and Sundays as required, Schedule as per Operational Requirements, OT after 8hr/day or 44hr/week Location: 9175 – 14 Street NW, Edmonton, AB - no direct access to public transportation Essential: Hard-working, reliable, flexible with schedule, ability to work in physically demanding conditions Requirements: Personal Reliable Vehicle CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support Pre-employment: Drug and alcohol testing (swab-based test) Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientation Fitness to Work Assessment JR Inventory Technician Responsibilities: Identify, bin locate and store inventory of various makes and models of heavy-duty construction equipment. Determine warehouse deficiencies when reviewing inventory records, document accurate stock numbers and report any newly found discrepancy to supervisor. Assist parts drivers with deliveries, pick-ups and other tasks as required. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers regarding deliveries, returns, and warranty claims. Operate forklift to assist with organization and efficiency of the shop operations. Develop internal systems to ensure inventory is stocked efficiently; and organized effectively to ensure smooth operations of parts department. This is a general responsibilities list and does not include all responsibilities required of the position. JR Inventory Technician Qualifications: A minimum of 1 + years’ experience is preferred. Hard working and mechanically inclined. Strong interest in working with and learning about heavy equipment. Computer skills required. Candidates should have at least one year of experience, be mechanically inclined, and possess basic computer skills. Applicants must have a reliable vehicle, CSA-approved steel-toed boots, and be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
