Essential: Hard-working, reliable, flexible with schedule, ability to work in physically demanding conditions Requirements: Personal Reliable Vehicle CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support Minimum 1 year operating a scraper (push-pull & auger) Pre-employment: Drug and alcohol testing (swab-based test) Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientation Scraper Operators Responsibilities: Minimum One (1) year experience operating a Scraper (Push-pull & Auger) Operate scraper controls to regulate the height of the blade and bowl to shape and contour the site. Operate the Scraper in successive passes over construction surface to raise or lower terrain to specified grade, following markings on grade stakes or hand signals. Ensure scraper/ buggies are in proper gear, and is not moving too fast for working conditions. Ensures proper use of the cushion hitch while operating the scraper. Demonstrate an understanding of grades and interpret roadway plans and drawings. Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture. Ce que vous ferez

Operate scraper controls to shape and contour sites by regulating blade and bowl height according to grade stakes. Ensure equipment is operated safely and efficiently while adhering to company safety programs and roadway plans.

Exigences

Requires a minimum of one year of experience operating push-pull and auger scrapers. Candidates must have a reliable vehicle, CSA approved boots, and pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
