Surge is currently accepting applications for the position of Accounts Payable Accountant. Responsibilities include: Reviewing, coding, and processing accounts payable invoices within OpenInvoice in a timely manner and with a high level of accuracy Liaise with field personnel to manage invoice flow in OpenInvoice and process invoices, assist with coding requirements and approval limits/authority levels Assist with vendor queries; verify, investigate, and resolve any discrepancies within vendor accounts, which may result in reconciling and recording journal entries in Qbyte FM Record manual accounts payable & receivable entries in Qbyte FM Prepare monthly account reconciliations Continuously review processes and implement improvements to ensure efficiency in all areas Ad-Hoc reporting and any assigned special projects Qualifications: At least 3 years of accounts payable experience, ideally within a Canadian oil and gas company Practical experience processing oil and gas invoices and working with field, operations, and accounting personnel Experience with Qbyte, OpenInvoice and intermediate skill level with Excel Preference will be given to candidates with a diploma or certificate in Business or Accounting Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail Highly motivated to handle a busy and varied workload Strong verbal and written communication skills are important for this role Exceptional relationship building skills with both internal and external stakeholders and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment Why Surge?
