Job Description The Hardware Test Team devises and enacts test plans that provide relevant data that directly influence product design, configuration, and compliance with standards. The team executes system and subsystem level reliability tests to further improve the industrial strength of our product line. You will play an important role in a team focused on providing data that makes a significant impact on the way design choices are made at OTTO Motors by Rockwell Automation. You will report to the Senior Manager – Integration Engineering and work on-site in Waterloo, ON. Primary Responsibilities Develop and execute test plans for validation of system functionality and performance Create test reports that concisely and accurately describe the testing and results Participate in test plan reviews and contribute to the team's testing strategy Develop and execute test plans for stressing systems with the goal of improving hardware reliability Troubleshoot, repair, and report on industrial robot failures The Essentials - You Will Have Bachelors Degree in relevant field. The Preferred - You Might Also Have Typically requires no previous professional experience. 1 year of relevant work experience (including co-op/internship) Experience designing and implementing hardware and software tools to improve the testing process Experience learning and applying standards that pertain to AMR performance and testing Experience gathering and analyzing data with spreadsheets (can maintain complex spreadsheets), Ubuntu terminal commands, bash and Python scripts Experience working with Solidworks CAD software to design test fixtures and calculate mass properties of test setups Experience with interpretation and design analysis of mechanical drawings What We Offer Health Insurance including Medical and Dental Health Care Spending Account (HCSA – dependent on the plan chosen) Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Retirement plans Paid Time off Volunteering Time off Employer Savings Plan Matching (includes RRSP, TFSA, and EPSP) Employer Paid DC Pension Maternity and Parental Leave Top-Up Fitness Reimbursement Program Flexible Work Schedule where you will work with your manager to enjoy a work schedule that aligns with your personal life. For this role, the total target compensation is from $64,080 - $80,100.00 CAD Annually. Actual pay will be based on factors such as skills, knowledge, education, and experience.
