6-month contract IAM Engineer role with a global retail client. Contract IAM Engineer role. Global enterprise organization investing heavily in cybersecurity. In office work arrangement, 4 days a week in downtown Vancouver What & Why: As a result of growth in the cybersecurity space, we are looking for an IAM Engineer to join our global enterprise client. This role will play a key role in helping build and maintain the identity and access services that support their global enterprise. You'll work hands-on with Single Sign-On, Federation, and Multi-Factor Authentication, building modernized IAM capabilities while also supporting day-to-day operations, enhancements, and bug fixes. Ideally you have 4+ years of experience maturing cybersecurity or infrastructure solutions, along with solid hands-on time with Azure AD (or similar SSO/Federation/MFA platforms) and directory technologies like Active Directory or LDAP. Strong protocol knowledge (SAML, OAuth, OIDC, SCIM) and comfort coding in at least two languages (PowerShell, SQL, Python, JavaScript, etc.) round out the technical bar. This is a great fit if you want broad, hands-on IAM exposure spanning security enforcement, automation, and cross-team collaboration, rather than a narrow infrastructure-only role. They have invested majorly in technology and have had an incredibly successful past few years, including a major strategic acquisition. They have an all-star leadership team who keeps you accountable and provides support while still affording you tremendous autonomy. They are located close to rapid transit in newly renovated offices in downtown Vancouver and have an in person work arrangement with 4 days a week in office. You: You will bring the following education, skills and experience to the role: 4+ years hands-on project and operations experience, including implementation, maintenance, and maturing enterprise cloud infrastructure and cloud authentication solutions 4+ years maturing cybersecurity and/or infrastructure solutions 3+ years of deep technical experience with Azure AD Global or similar SSO, Federation, and MFA solutions at B2E, B2B and/or B2C scale 3+ years of experience with authentication solutions, such as Active Directory and/or other LDAP technologies 2+ years of experience with Azure IaaS and/or AWS IaaS solutions is preferred Experience supporting global regulatory compliant solutions is preferred Familiarity with Azure AD China and/or other China IDaaS solutions is a plus Expert in SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, SCIM, LDAP/S, Kerberos protocols Expert in network security support and analysis tactics Expert in 2 or more coding languages PowerShell, C+, SQL, Python, JavaScript and/or others Experience working with Privilege Identity/Access Management (PIM/PAM) solutions is a plus Compensation: This role pays between $60-70 per hour.
