Résumé du poste
Exciting opportunity for a hands-on Logistics Supervisor with one of the Fraser Valleys well-established and growing manufacturers and distributors. High-impact, highly visible leadership role overseeing freight, customs, and cross-border shipping. Strong long-term growth potential within the organization. Competitive base salary plus bonus and a strong benefits package! Who- the Company: Our client is a well-established North American manufacturer and distributor with a strong reputation for product quality, reliability, and customer service. The company has experienced steady growth and continues to invest in its logistics operations to support expansion across North America. This is a hands-on, team-oriented organization that values accountability, safety, and continuous improvement. What- the Role: Our client is seeking a new Logistics Supervisor for their Operations team. The Logistics Supervisor will own all freight, customs, and cross-border shipping activities supporting the company’s operations, providing strategic leadership to the Company. This is a highly influential role despite the “Supervisor” title — it sits at the centre of transportation strategy, freight cost management, customs compliance, and carrier relationships, while also requiring genuine hands-on involvement in the day-to-day operation. This is not a purely desk-based role. The successful candidate will be just as comfortable negotiating freight agreements and reviewing tariff impacts as they are on the warehouse floor, supporting shipping and receiving teams and resolving shipment issues. SWIM will provide interested and qualified candidates with a thorough job description. Who- the Candidate: We are seeking candidates with at least 8 years of progressive experience in logistics, transportation, freight, customs, or supply chain, along with previous supervisory or team lead experience. Qualified candidates will have strong cross-border Canada-US shipping expertise and a solid working knowledge of customs documentation, tariffs, HS codes, and North American trade compliance. Experience negotiating with freight carriers, brokers, or third-party logistics providers is important. A successful Logistics Supervisor at this company will be someone who is genuinely hands-on and visible within the operation, not solely focused on strategy from behind a desk. We are looking for a positive, solutions-oriented leader who takes ownership, coaches and develops their team, and is comfortable balancing strategic planning with day-to-day execution. Where: Based in the Fraser Valley, BC. This is a 100% on-site role. How Much: Base salary will be commensurate with experience. The range on the base salary is $70,000 to $95,000, with the top-end reserved for candidates who meet all sought-after qualifications and bring significant relevant experience. Additionally, the Logistics Supervisor will be eligible for an annual performance-based bonus, employer-paid health and dental benefits with 100% medical coverage, and an RRSP matching program. Please discuss your total compensation expectations further with SWIM. Interview Process: The process for this role will begin with a screening interview with SWIM, followed by an on-site interview with the hiring manager. Depending on the candidate, there may be an additional conversation with Operations leadership, along with a personality assessment and standard reference and background checks. When & How to Apply: SWIM Recruiting has been engaged by our client to support them with this search. SWIM is doing initial interviewing and is presenting the profiles of strong candidates directly to the hiring team for review. If you already have a Recruiter at SWIM, please reach out very soon.
