Résumé du poste

Company Description Swiss Chalet is a well-known Canadian restaurant brand that has been welcoming families since 1954 and now operates over 200 locations across Canada. The restaurant is recognized as “Masters of the Rotisserie” and is home to Canada’s favorite rotisserie chicken, prepared from fresh, grain-fed, preservative-free, Canadian-raised chickens slow-roasted over an open flame. Swiss Chalet also offers smoky BBQ ribs, fresh-cut fries, and its iconic Signature Chalet dipping sauce, a closely guarded recipe simmered daily for a distinct comfort-food experience. The company emphasizes warm, genuine hospitality and treats Guests, Associates, and Franchisees as part of one flock. Team members join a supportive environment focused on quality ingredients, consistent cooking standards, and memorable guest experiences. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Line Cook role based at the Swiss Chalet location in Collingwood, ON. The Line Cook prepares and cooks menu items to Swiss Chalet standards, including rotisserie chicken, ribs, sides, and sauces, while following established recipes, portion guidelines, and food safety procedures. Responsibilities include setting up and stocking stations, preparing ingredients, operating kitchen equipment, and ensuring timely, consistent quality for all guest orders. The role involves maintaining a clean and organized work area, supporting dishwashing and prep tasks as needed, and adhering to health, safety, and sanitation regulations. The Line Cook collaborates closely with the kitchen and front-of-house teams, communicates clearly during busy service periods, and supports a positive, guest-focused atmosphere. Qualifications Experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with skills in basic cooking techniques, food preparation, and safe operation of kitchen equipment. Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards, with the ability to follow established procedures consistently. Ability to work efficiently on a line, manage multiple tickets, and maintain high quality and presentation standards under pressure. Team-oriented attitude, effective communication skills, and a commitment to supporting colleagues and contributing to a respectful, inclusive workplace. Reliability, punctuality, and strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and a focus on accuracy in portioning and plating. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required in restaurant operations. Previous line cook or restaurant experience is preferred; food handler certification or culinary training is an asset.
