Job Summary Under the direction of the Station Manager, the Duty Manager is responsible for efficiently and profitably managing and directing ramp activities, providing a safe, high-quality product across a range of ground handling services to its customers. Job Responsibilities Accountable for daily operations Efficient Resource Planning (manpower, equipment) and managing scheduling. Maintain and improve customer and company safety and quality standards. Maintain good relations with customers and airport authorities. Manage and control all staff assignments. Hold daily briefings with all levels of management. Accurately perform general payroll updates such as wage adjustments, vacation, banked time, monetary adjustments, etc... Administer new hires, recalls, terminations, and changes via the Dayforce system. Maintain, monitor, and report on agreed key performance indicators (KPI's) Coach and train all employees to improve operations effectively. Ensure workforce adherence to company policies and procedures. Participate in the disciplinary and grievance process with labor relations. Ensure that incident/accident reports are completed in an adequate and timely manner. Responsible for Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental activities at the station, intending to reduce employee injuries, aircraft, and equipment damage Other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Competencies Minimum 3 years of pertinent experience in the ground handling industry, ramp service. Relevant experience in personnel management in a unionized environment. Excellent communication skills (interpersonal) Excellent English communication, oral and written. Valid Driver’s License and airside permit D/A Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills. Leadership ability. Customer focus and quality awareness. Ability to deal with conflict. Available and flexible to work various shifts (day, evening, night, weekend, and holidays) according to operational requirements. WHY WORK FOR US? Fun place to work!
