Position: L2 Service Desk Contractor – Hardware Lifecycle & Deployment Specialist Location: Calgary Job ID#: 84084-25-0028/A Duration: 12 Months On behalf of our client, a government agency located in Calgary, we are recruiting for a Help Desk Level role to provide support to a large user base. This role is primarily onsite in Calgary This role is an off‑queue, execution‑focused position dedicated to large‑scale hardware lifecycle activities and deployment projects. The resource will focus on laptop, mobile device, and monitor refreshes; coordinated deployments; secure swaps and returns; and office move support, ensuring lifecycle work does not negatively impact daily Service Desk operations. Skills Requirements: · Demonstrated experience supporting hardware lifecycle and deployment activities in an enterprise IT environment · Hands‑on experience with laptop, mobile device, and peripheral deployments, swaps, and refreshes · Experience executing large‑scale rollouts or refresh initiatives with minimal disruption to users · Ability to perform secure device swaps, returns, and preparation for reuse or disposal in accordance with policy · Strong experience documenting work and updating ITSM tickets and asset records accurately · Ability to work independently on‑site and coordinate effectively with Service Desk staff and stakeholders · Excellent customer service skills · Strong verbal and written communication skills · Ability to meet strict deadlines · Availability to work on‑site in Calgary, five days per week · Strong organizational skills · Ability to work under pressure · Valid Government of Canada Reliability Status (or clear eligibility to obtain one) Nice‑to‑have qualifications · Experience supporting office moves, seating changes, or workspace reconfigurations · Familiarity with asset management and inventory control practices · Experience providing surge support during onboarding waves or refresh cycles · Experience working within an ITIL‑aligned Service Desk operating model · Familiarity with project management and experience handling and executing project‑based work · CompTIA A+ certification, or equivalent experience, indicating solid foundational knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and technical troubleshooting About Symbiotic Digital.
