Investment & Finance Expert Position: Investment & Finance Expert Type: Contractor Compensation: $245–$280/hour Location: Remote About the Opportunity micro1 is partnering with a leading AI lab to engage finance professionals with experience across investment banking, private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, and growth equity. In this role, you will apply real-world financial expertise to evaluate and improve AI model performance across financial reasoning, valuation, capital markets, and investment scenarios. Responsibilities Evaluate AI-generated outputs related to valuation, financial modeling, markets, and investment analysis. Assess the accuracy, quality, and practical relevance of AI-generated financial reasoning. Create expert-level prompts based on real-world investment and transaction experience. Develop reference answers that reflect sound financial analysis and professional judgment. Identify factual errors, flawed calculations, weak reasoning, and unrealistic assumptions. Evaluate AI responses involving financial models, valuation methodologies, and investment decisions. Apply practical deal and market knowledge to assess the quality of model outputs. Provide structured domain feedback to identify areas for improvement. Contribute insights that directly help shape and improve AI model behavior. Required Qualifications At least 1 year of professional experience at a well-known financial firm or legitimate startup. Experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, or growth equity. Strong knowledge of financial modeling, valuation, and investment analysis. Familiarity with capital markets and real-world investment scenarios. Strong financial analysis skills and proficiency with Excel. Ability to critically evaluate financial assumptions, methodologies, and conclusions. Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities. Excellent written communication skills in English. Ability to work independently in a remote environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience working directly on investment transactions, financial models, valuations, or due diligence. Exposure to multiple areas of investment and finance. Experience evaluating complex financial analyses or investment cases. Strong understanding of market dynamics and financial decision-making. Ability to translate practical financial experience into clear evaluation criteria. Experience creating or reviewing detailed financial models and investment analyses. Compensation
