testing, adjusting and balancing (tab) technician for heating, ventilating and air conditioning (hvac)

Tabreed Thermal Control Ltd, a Hamilton-based HVAC and refrigeration company, is looking to hire a qualified HVAC technician to support our expanding commercial service operations. *Salary:* $21 to $25 *Education* Other trades certificate or diploma (*Mohawk College HVAC program or similar preferred*)or equivalent experience *Experience:* 1 year to 3 years *Responsibilities*· Install and overhaul heating systems · Install refrigeration systems · Install ventilation, air handling and air conditioning systems · Interpret blueprints or other instructions to plan methods or sequences of operation· Troubleshoot heating systems · Troubleshoot ventilation, air handling, refrigeration and air conditioning systems · Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components · Measure, cut and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment · Provide customer service· Start up system and test for leaks using testing devices · Perform maintenance such as, recharging system with refrigerant, checking and testing regulators or calibrating system · Interpret gas codes · Handle, recover and store refrigerants · Repair and replace parts and components for entire refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation or heat pump systems *Supervision* · Gasfitters *Credentials* · Must have G2 Gas License · Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. · Ability to work independently and in a team environment .· Valid driver?s license and clean driving record .· Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate *Experience and specialization* Air conditioning and refrigeration systems · Rooftop (self-contained) · Heat pump · Air motioning and circulation · Filtration · Built up (split system) · Humidification and de-humidification system · Ventilation *Additional information* · Valid driver's licence · Own a vehicle *Work conditions and physical capabilities* · Physically demanding · Handling heavy loads · Standing for extended periods · Bending, crouching, kneeling · Attention to detail · Manual dexterity *Own tools/equipment* · Tools· Safety equipment/gear · Steel-toed safety boots · Safety glasses/goggles · Gloves Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $21.00-$30.00 per hour Work Location: In person
