Résumé du poste

Talent Bureau is growing, and we’re looking for a great agent to join our team. We’re a leading talent business that connects extraordinary people with the right audiences. Our Canadian roots are firmly planted in the events industry, and our work now spans speaking engagements, appearances, brand partnerships, management, television, podcasts and more. We’re looking for someone who is genuinely excited by this world with a focus on the speaking engagements at conferences, meetings and events across Canada and around the world. You follow big ideas, business, sports, entertainment and pop culture. You know who is having a moment, and you're curious about who might be having one next. You love great events, understand what makes someone compelling on stage, and get excited about championing talented people and helping grow their careers. You’re proactive, resourceful and competitive. You like building relationships, creating opportunities and getting deals done. You don’t wait around for the phone to ring -you’re constantly thinking about the next client, the next event, the next introduction and the next opportunity. Most importantly, you’re easygoing, kind, and fun to work with. What You'll Do As an Agent, Speaking Engagements, you’ll be helping organizations find the right speaker for their events while creating more opportunities for the speakers and personalities we work with. You will: Build and manage relationships with corporate, association, agency and event-industry clients Develop new business and proactively create speaking opportunities Hit and exceed specific sales targets Learn what clients are trying to accomplish and curate smart, customized talent recommendations Champion Talent Bureau's roster and help grow the speaking careers of the talent we represent Identify emerging speakers, personalities, ideas and trends Negotiate events and help move opportunities from first conversation through confirmed booking Work closely with your fellow Agents and our Event Ops team Stay plugged into what’s happening across business, culture, sports, media, entertainment and the events industry Attend industry events, conferences and showcases and build relationships across the business Who We're Looking For There isn't one perfect background for this job. Experience in the speaking, events, entertainment, talent, media or agency industries would be a major asset. So would experience working directly with high-profile talent, executives, athletes, creators or other public figures. But we're equally interested in the kind of person you are. You're someone who: Has strong sales instincts and genuinely enjoys developing new business Builds relationships naturally and knows how to maintain them Is comfortable communicating with senior executives and high-profile talent Has broad interests and genuine intellectual curiosity Pays attention to the world and has opinions about the people and ideas shaping it Can move comfortably between a conversation about AI or leadership and one about hockey, entertainment or what's happening in culture Is organized enough to manage multiple opportunities without losing the personal touch Has excellent judgment and understands that representing great talent comes with responsibility Is ambitious, entrepreneurial and motivated by results Works well as part of a team but doesn't need to be told what opportunity to chase next About Talent Bureau Talent Bureau started with humble roots in Toronto and Vancouver and has grown into a leading speaker, talent and entertainment company. We work with incredible people—from business leaders and bestselling authors to athletes, broadcasters, entrepreneurs, political figures, entertainers and some of the most interesting thinkers in their fields. Our job is ultimately pretty simple: connect extraordinary talent with the right audiences, create memorable experiences for our clients, and help great talent build bigger careers. We take the work seriously, but we don't take ourselves too seriously. If the idea of spending your days around great people, great ideas and great events sounds exciting—and you're hungry to build something—we'd love to hear from you.
