Our client is seeking an experienced Intermediate Stormwater Management Engineer to join their engineering consulting team in the GTA. This opportunity is ideal for a P.Eng.-licensed engineer with 5–8 years of stormwater management experience on Ontario projects, particularly within subdivision development and/or 1D or 2D floodplain analysis. The successful candidate will have strong technical and writing skills, knowledge of applicable policies and regulations, and the ability to provide guidance and supervision to junior team members. Intermediate Stormwater Management Engineer Responsibilities Provide stormwater management engineering expertise on projects across Ontario. Work on stormwater management components of subdivision and floodplain analysis projects. Perform and/or support 1D and 2D floodplain analysis and related engineering assessments. Prepare technical reports, calculations, designs, and supporting documentation. Apply applicable municipal, provincial, and environmental policies, standards, guidelines, and regulations. Review technical work and provide support and guidance to junior team members. Supervise and mentor one or two junior staff members as required. Collaborate with engineers, project managers, planners, municipalities, and other stakeholders. Support project teams in delivering technically sound and high-quality engineering solutions. Intermediate Stormwater Management Engineer Qualifications & Experience P.Eng. license in Ontario is required. 5–8 years of relevant stormwater management engineering experience. Strong experience working on Ontario projects involving: Subdivision development 1D or 2D floodplain analysis Candidates whose experience is limited exclusively to site plan projects will not be considered. Strong knowledge of applicable stormwater management policies, standards, guidelines, and regulations. Strong technical writing and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment. Ability to supervise or mentor one or two junior team members. Currently working within an engineering consulting firm. High school and university education completed in Canada. Must currently live and work within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Willingness to work from the office a minimum of 4 days per week, with an all-days-in-office environment preferred. What You Bring Strong technical knowledge of stormwater management engineering. Experience with subdivision development and/or floodplain analysis. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Excellent technical report writing and communication skills. Knowledge of Ontario's applicable policies, regulations, and municipal requirements. A collaborative, team-oriented approach. Ability to support and mentor junior engineering professionals.
