Résumé du poste

Taygetos Capital is Canada's first and only venture infrastructure investment and innovation platform. We find, fund, and partner on critical infrastructure projects and companies that secure Canada's future. We are a lean, founder-led platform. This is not a seat inside a large deal team. The Associate will work directly with the Managing Partner across the full investment lifecycle, from origination through structuring, execution, and asset management, and will see LP-facing work most associates do not touch until the Vice President level. The Role: The Associate is the firm's analytical engine. You will build and own the models, draft the memos, run the diligence workstreams, and prepare the materials that put transactions in front of co-investors and LPs. The mandate covers four areas: Investment analysis and execution Build and maintain detailed financial models for prospective investments, including SPV-level project returns, company operating models, sensitivity analyses, and downside cases Evaluate both infrastructure projects and infrastructure-adjacent companies, including assessments of business models, management teams, technology readiness, and commercial traction Conduct market, regulatory, and counterparty research to support investment theses Prepare investment memoranda, co-investment materials, and internal screening notes Coordinate third-party diligence providers (legal, technical, environmental, and valuation) and synthesize findings for decision-making Deal sourcing and pipeline support Track policy developments, procurement activity, and asset-level signals across target sectors Maintain the firm's pipeline and prepare briefing materials ahead of counterparty and government meetings Support relationship development with intermediaries, operators, advisors, and municipal and provincial stakeholders LP and co-investor materials Draft and maintain LP-facing documents, including deal summaries, diligence Q&A responses, and quarterly updates Support data room preparation and respond to co-investor information requests Asset management Monitor portfolio investments against underwriting, including KPI tracking, covenant compliance, and reporting cadence Support portfolio-level initiatives, including refinancings, follow-on investments, and government program applications Who You Are: Required 2 to 4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, infrastructure investing, venture capital or growth equity, project finance, corporate development, or a transaction advisory practice Demonstrated financial modeling capability, including three-statement, project finance, or LBO-style models built from scratch Strong written communication; you will draft documents that go directly to LPs and counterparties with light editing Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, engineering, or a related discipline Comfort with ambiguity; a small platform means priorities shift with the pipeline Preferred Exposure to infrastructure, real assets, natural resources, public-private transactions, or venture-backed companies in cleantech, climate, or industrial technology Familiarity with government procurement, P3 frameworks, or regulated-asset environments Progress toward the CFA or CBV designation French language capability is an asset What We Offer: Direct principal investment experience across the full deal lifecycle at an early stage of the platform's growth Meaningful responsibility for live transactions and LP relationships from day one Competitive base salary and discretionary bonus, benchmarked to the Toronto market for the candidate's experience level Potential for deal-level economics as the platform scales Hybrid working arrangement based in Toronto
