Position Outline: The successful candidate in this position will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing electrical related items throughout the buildings in the Hamilton portfolio, which includes office/retail spaces, common areas, parking facilities and building support systems. Responsibilities: Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on commercial electrical systems and equipment. Troubleshoot and repair electrical distributions systems, lighting, controls, motor, and associated equipment. Maintain and service emergency power systems, generator, transfer switches, and UPS systems. Respond to tenant service requests and emergency calls in a professional and timely manner. Install, modify, and upgrade electrical systems as required. Assist with electrical projects, tenant fit-ups, and capital improvement initiatives. Read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documents. Ensure compliance with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and all applicable regulations. Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and other building operations staff as required. Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hour emergencies and over-time when required for annual power shutdowns. Qualifications: Valid Ontario Certificate of Qualification for Journeyperson Electrician (309A or 442A) 5+ years experience in commercial, institutional, or industrial electrical maintenance. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Working knowledge of building automation systems, emergency power systems, fire alarm interfaces, and HVAC electrical controls is considered an asset. Familiarity with building automation and life safety system is considered and asset. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Compensation: $70,000 - $75,000 Annual Base Salary Benefits RRSP Paid Vacation Paid Sick Days Overtime opportunities
