We are looking for a Contract Press Apprentice tosupport our production team during our busy seasonal period from September 21st through to December 18th. This role will assist with press setup, operation, material handling, quality checks, and general production duties to ensure customer orders are completed efficiently and on schedule. This position is currently open and reflects a new position created to support organizational growth. Responsibilities When your actions lead to success: Set up and operate equipment Pick up printed bundles newspapers or flyers of off the stacker and arrange on a skid as per customer specification Boxing, wrapping, strapping printed product Operate pallet jack Monitor equipment operation and make repair/maintenance recommendations to the direct report. Maintain cleanliness, organization and health and safety standards of work area Ensure thorough communication with press teams during shift and handoff at shift change Apply & adhere to pressroom procedures. Adhere to and promote safety policies and procedures (SWP’s) Other duties as required Qualifications When your expertise drives us: Experience within a manufacturing setting Must be able to read, write and speak English Proven ability to work within a fast paced, team environment.
