Tech Talent International (SI) supplies technical talent to a variety of clients ranging from Fortune 100/500/1000 companies to small and mid-sized organizations in Canada/US and Europe. We currently have a role as a Senior Equity Platform Support-SRE with our large consulting client for a major banking services client in the downtown Montreal area. This role can either be a permanent role or a long term contract. Role: Senior Equity Platform Support-SRE Type: Permanent 37.5 hrs/week Location: Hybrid - Downtown Montreal, QC -(roles starts off 5 days in office for 1st 3 months, then turns into hybrid setup 3 days onsite, 2 days from home) Salary: $120,000 - $130,000 + 9% bonus + 3-6 weeks paid vacation + RRSP contribution + benefits + sick/personal day + cell phone allowance + discounts for public transit and may other perks Contract: $100-$105/hr C2C RESPONSIBILITIES Being part of a dynamic team, you are convinced that technology can drive the transformation of our industry. Your actions will help our teams achieve our ambitious business goals by implementing a data-centric enterprise architecture dedicated to Capital Markets. The Global Markets IT (GMI) department manages the global information system across the entire value chain of Capital Market businesses. The GMI teams are primarily located in Paris, London, New York, Montreal, Hong Kong, India, and Singapore. We are seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join the team in Montreal This position aims to deploy, support and enhance the Equity platform in the Americas and to secure the best digital experience to our trading, Sales and Operations in the Americas but also globally. The successful candidate will therefore contribute to the broader digital transformation agenda while enhancing the safety and resilience of the existing platform. Key Responsibilities • Trading and clients service quality guardian: Closely engage with FO Trading in New York to understand workflows and potential future needs in terms of features and SLAs • Production Control Tower: Ensure proper instrumentation is in place, easy to access & understand for both day-to-day platform stability/performance monitoring and ad ’hoc prospective analysis. • Technical advisor: Conduct testing and ad hoc analysis on the platform to understand recuring or potentially coming bottlenecks & shortfalls. Formalize proposals to address identified issues by refactoring algorithm, redesigning building blocks or resizing infrastructure. • DevOps engineer: Leverage inner-sourcing framework in place to collaboratively or self-implement suggested changes, when agreed and possible. • Agility enabler: Actively contributes to the safety and efficiency of the CI/CD pipeline as a critical factor of production stability and live issue remediation efficiency. • Strategic thinker: Work closely with Asia and global delivery team to continuously foster technical and organizational excellence. • Technology evangelist: Integrate AI-assisted tools like GitHub Copilot in every aspect of your daily work to enhance development speed, business safety and deliveries quality. Requirements Education & Experience • Degree in Computer Science (preferred); • 5 years of IT development, support, or SRE experience in the financial industry Financial Knowledge • Equity business and financial market knowledge • Understanding of equity front-to-back workflows • Basic instrument knowledge (stocks, indices, options, futures, swaps) • Nice to have: P&L and VaR concepts Technical Skills • SQL and NoSQL • Windows Server environments (services, IIS, scheduled tasks) • UNIX/Linux (navigation, shell scripts, Perl) • SQL databases (query writing, stored procedures, query optimization) • Batch systems (Control M) • Monitoring systems (ITRS Geneos, ELK) • CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible) • Container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) • Github Copilot, Jira • Nice to have: C# • Nice to have: Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) Communication & Competencies • Excellent written and oral communication • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences • Detailed documentation skills • English fluency • Self-motivated and autonomous • Team player • Ability to work under pressure • Meticulous and rigorous • Fast learner OTHER REQUIREMENTS • Target start date: September • Language: Fluent in English, French is a plus. • Calendar/Holidays to follow: Canada – Québec
