The machinist is responsible for setting up and operating conventional and CNC machine tools to produce parts. This includes reading engineering drawings and verifying dimensions using precise measuring instruments.

Requires a college/CEGEP education and 1 to 2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting. Candidates must hold a Machinist Trade Certification and be proficient in using micrometers and calipers.
