Business Analyst with SharePoint and M365 experience on a 12-month contract. Work Arrangement Hybrid role – Candidates local to British Columbia are strongly preferred and will be given priority. The team works onsite Tuesdays and Thursdays. Candidates based in Alberta will also be considered, provided they can: Work Pacific Time (PST) hours. Travel onsite in BC for the first week for orientation and onboarding (at the contractor's expense). Travel onsite once per month thereafter (at the contractor's expense). DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for eliciting, documenting, and managing requirements throughout the entire development lifecycle. In addition to the SharePoint and M365 component, this role involves analysis and management of business process improvements. Required Experience: SharePoint Online/M365: Experience with SharePoint Online site collections, sites, libraries, and lists. Familiarity with SharePoint Online administration and settings. Understanding of integration between SharePoint Online and core M365 apps. Knowledge of document libraries, metadata, versioning, and content types. Familiarity with information architecture, taxonomy, and navigation. Knowledge of SharePoint Online permissions model and access controls. Business Analysis: Elicitation and understanding of needs. Business process mapping. Requirements definition, documentation, and traceability using a waterfall approach (BRD and RTM). Quality Assurance: Exposure to development of test plans and executing test cases. User adoption: Developing user guides and training materials. Conducting training sessions. Nice to Have: Records management and migration Experience with documents/records management. Understanding of compliance, retention policies, and data loss prevention. Technical scripting e.g. PowerShell. Migration tools (e.g. Sharegate). Customization and configuration: Experience with MS Teams, OneDrive, and Power Apps in the M365 Ecosystem. Experience designing, testing, and implementing workflows using Power Automate. Power BI reporting and dashboards (including Power Query and DAX).
