SAP Master Data Consultant

SAP Functional Master Data Consultant | Remote - Eastern Time Zone preferred We're hiring a hands-on SAP Functional Master Data Consultant who works directly with business users, digs into SAP and the underlying data, and owns issues from root cause through resolution. What you'll be doing: Gather requirements from business users and translate into SAP functional solutions Own master data processes: creation, maintenance, governance, validation, quality, remediation Identify data quality issues, gaps, and inconsistencies Build functional specs, data mapping docs, and solution designs Work with SAP technical teams to deliver solutions Lead testing, defect resolution, and deployment Investigate root causes of data issues Support data migration, cleansing, transformation, and reconciliation Define data rules, validation logic, and field mappings Must have: Strong hands-on SAP functional experience with a significant master data focus SAP S/4HANA and/or ECC experience Track record gathering requirements from business users and translating into SAP solutions Strong functional spec and technical documentation skills Experience working with SAP developers/technical teams Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills Hands-on data cleansing, validation, mapping, transformation, reconciliation experience Comfortable working directly in SAP to investigate data, processes, configuration Solid understanding of master data structures, dependencies, and relationships in SAP SAP testing and UAT experience Nice to have: Material, Customer, Vendor/Business Partner, or Finance master data domain experience SAP data migration/transformation project experience SAP MDG or similar governance tool experience SQL or data analysis tool experience Additional requirements: Must be a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident (security clearance requirement for this client) Must be agreeable to background checks, reference checks, and employment verification Direct engagement only — no third parties/agencies

The consultant will gather business requirements to design and implement SAP functional solutions for master data processes. They are responsible for the end-to-end ownership of data quality, governance, and the resolution of data-related issues.

Candidates must have strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA or ECC and a proven track record in master data management and technical documentation. Must be a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident due to security clearance requirements.
