Fit and Spec Technician

THE ROLE As part of the Technical Design team, you will be supporting Tefron’s initiative on thoughtful design, perfect fit, and solution-based apparel. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to share in our company spirit and passion to knit the future. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING: * Collaborate with designers to develop product standards across categories for fit, construction, quality and tech pack formats and maintain accuracy * Be able to issue precise specs and detailed garment construction adjustments * Leverage client feedback to establish consistency in fit across categories and fabrications * Measurement & inspection of garments to ensure workmanship reaches proper quality standards * Conduct fit analysis and fitting on live models and mannequins to reach styling interpretation and specs * Manage timeline to meet due dates & deadlines (both product development and production cycle) * Uploading samples submission measurements into PLM platform * Daily communication with overseas suppliers in a timely and respectful manner WHAT YOU’LL NEED: * College or university degree in Fashion or related degree * 4-7 years’ experience in fit or similar role * Technical knowledge related to product fit, pattern and construction to provide leadership for large and complex apparel development projects * Excellent knowledge of garment construction and fit * Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented * Ability to multi-task and prioritize * Advanced in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Adobe Illustrator (3D software is an asset) * Strong communication skills: spoken and written English skills are mandatory (French asset) * Must be able to work efficiently on a tight calendar, prioritize workload, meet deadlines and adapt to a fast-paced environment * Experience in intimates, seamless knitting or active wear preferred * Experience with a PLM system considered an asset * Ability to travel PREFERRED QUALITIES * Passion and understanding of the intimate’s fashion industry, fitness/training, sport/activewear and youth culture spaces. * Aptitude for problem solving and finding practical solutions for design or production challenges * Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams THE PERKS At Tefron we believe in the importance of investing in our employees through their physical, mental, and financial health along with being able to provide some fun and inclusive perks along the way. * Generous vacation allotment + personal days * Affordable benefits coverage * Access to telemedicine * Employee Assistance Program * Onsite paid parking or public transit stipend * Onsite gym * Birthday’s off * Year-Round Half-Day Fridays FREE TO BE As a purpose-led, performance-driven company, we strive to foster a culture of belonging based on respect, connection, openness, and authenticity. Collaborate with designers to develop product standards for fit, construction, and quality across various apparel categories. Manage the technical development cycle, including conducting fit analysis on models and communicating with overseas suppliers.

Requires a degree in Fashion or a related field and 4-7 years of experience in fit or a similar technical role. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and PLM systems is required, with a preference for experience in activewear or intimates.
