EFT Payments Business Systems Analyst

FTM -EFT Payments Business Systems Analyst (BSA) Hybrid 3 days in a week, Scarborough, ON 6-9 Months Contract with possible Extension Required Experience: 10+ years as a Business Analyst in payments/financial platform delivery, focused on batch payments / EFT processing Solid understanding of EFT payments lifecycle, especially on the posting and accounting treatment side (postings, returns, rejects, reversals, recalls) Experience with batch file formats (e.g., CPA005) and payment processing flows Strong experience in Agile/Scrum delivery environments, including user story writing and backlog grooming FTM CPS exposure is a strong asset Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Xray Responsibilities: Lead business analysis activities for EFT batch payments capabilities across requirements, build, and IST phases through to UAT readiness, ensuring alignment with business outcomes and posting logic. Elaborate user stories, acceptance criteria, and specifications by partnering with Product Owners, SMEs, architects, and downstream/upstream system teams. Facilitate story sketching sessions and requirements walkthroughs, translating complex batch posting scenarios (including exception flows and roll-up/aggregation rules) into clear, buildable stories. Participate in agile delivery cadence including daily stand-ups, bi-weekly status reviews, and design walkthroughs with onshore architects and stakeholders. Serve as the onshore BA point of contact, coordinating with offshore BA/QA counterparts to ensure requirements clarity, traceability, and consistent interpretation across the team. Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and payments standards, leveraging established integration and posting patterns to maintain consistency across the scope

Lead business analysis for EFT batch payments across requirements, build, and testing phases to ensure alignment with posting logic. Coordinate between onshore stakeholders and offshore teams to translate complex payment scenarios into buildable user stories.

Requires over 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst specializing in financial platforms and EFT payment lifecycles. Proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools like Jira and Confluence is essential, with FTM CPS exposure being a strong asset.
