Senior/Staff Fullstack Engineer

About the Company This high-growth insurtech company is building AI-powered software for insurance agencies and brokerages across North America. Its platform helps operators improve service, streamline complex workflows, and modernize how insurance products are sold and supported. Backed by institutional investors, the business is scaling its customer-facing product suite and engineering organization. The Role This is a senior individual contributor role with broad ownership across architecture, product delivery, and engineering standards. You will lead the technical direction of revenue-generating web products, work closely with product and business stakeholders, and help develop a high-performing team as the company grows. What You Will Do Set the technical direction and delivery roadmap for customer-facing web applications and product platforms. Design and ship complex functionality across user interfaces, backend services, databases, and APIs. Own the architecture, security, reliability, observability, and long-term maintainability of your team’s systems. Mentor engineers through design reviews, pair programming, documentation, and hands-on technical guidance. Improve engineering execution by contributing to hiring, technical planning, knowledge sharing, and team health. What You Bring 5–10 years of software development experience, including significant ownership of production systems at scale. Strong experience designing complex software architectures across frontend, backend, API, and data layers. Hands-on expertise with React, TypeScript, Python, Django, PostgreSQL, and DynamoDB. Experience operating cloud-native systems using AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes. A high-ownership working style, strong technical judgment, and the ability to solve ambiguous problems in a changing environment. Why This Role You will have direct ownership of products tied to company revenue, influence technical strategy at the staff level, and help define how the engineering organization scales. The role combines deep technical work with architecture, mentorship, hiring, and close collaboration across product, engineering, and customer-facing teams.
