Telecom Civil / Drafting Engineer

Role : Telecom Civil / Drafting Engineer Duration : Full time Location : Montreal, QC Required Skills: • 6–8 years of experience in a civil drafting, structural drafting, or telecom infrastructure drafting role. • Professional Engineering designation or eligibility/registration with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) is required. • French language proficiency is mandatory, including both written and verbal communication. • Strong experience preparing telecom construction drawings and installation packages. • Solid understanding of civil/structural drafting practices, telecom site layouts, rooftop installations, tower reinforcement, and foundation detailing. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and modify technical drawings for telecom network projects, including site plans, schematics, construction details, and installation layouts. • Prepare complete construction documentation packages required for implementation and field execution. • Draft installation packages for 5G upgrades, rooftop designs, tower modifications, and related telecom infrastructure work. • Prepare structural detailing drawings, including foundation details, tower reinforcing, and related civil/structural components. • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, designers, and other team members to ensure designs meet project specifications and client requirements. • Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, constructability, and compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations. • Maintain accurate drawing records, revisions, documentation logs, and project-related information. • Support quality control activities by validating design inputs, markups, revisions, and final drawing deliverables.

Develop and modify technical drawings and construction documentation for telecom network projects, including 5G upgrades and tower modifications. Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure designs meet specifications and comply with applicable codes.

Requires 6–8 years of experience in civil or structural drafting for telecom infrastructure and mandatory French language proficiency. Candidates must hold or be eligible for professional engineering registration with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
