Job Location: Port Perry State/Province Ontario Reporting to the Fleet Supervisor, the Mechanic performs routine maintenance on company vehicles/heavy equipment and trouble-shoots issues as they arise, supporting the Fleet team. Telecon wishes to fill a full-time position of 310T Licensed Mechanic based out of our shop in the Port Perry area. The expected hourly wage for this position is in the range of $38.00 - $44.00 based on the richness and diversity of the candidate’s experience, training, skills and internal equity. The position or associated wage could vary depending on the profile of the candidate. This job posting is for an existing vacancy. You Will Have The Opportunity To Ensures compliance with regards to health & safety and quality; drives a health and safety culture, leads by being an inspiring role model and setting examples to the team Performing routine maintenance on company CVOR vehicles to the industry standards which includes: oil changes, torquing of wheel nuts on company vehicles and trailers, replacing tires, and required maintenance Troubleshooting CVOR vehicle issues as they arise and completing minor repairs as required; work with Fleet Supervisor to prioritize and schedule repairs Complete documentation on all work performed and completed as required Order vehicles parts and supplies as required Accountable for timely execution of all scheduled work Additional duties as assigned THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES: Licensed technician (310T) CVOR Knowledge with previous work experience in the automotive or equipment service industry Excellent knowledge of automotive mechanics and heavy equipment (Knowledge of HDD, Vac truck & Line Truck would be an asset) Excellent technical knowledge of hydraulics Excellent communicator, highly organized with a customer-focused approach Post-secondary education or qualifications desirable Valid G Driver’s License required (at a minimum) Ability to travel across the assigned territory Must be available for weekend work as needed Must be to work offset shifts as needed IS THIS YOU?
