Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) TELUS Health Children Support Permanent Part Time Working closely with a multi-disciplinary team at our Children's Support Solutions clinic, we aim to help children and youth reach their full potential. We are seeking an SLP to provide assessment, direct treatment, and consultation services to a pediatric client population and their families. This role will deliver evidence-based therapies and multi-disciplinary approaches to health services and client care. RESPONSIBILITIES: Evaluate language disorders (oral and written) and speech disorders to determine the speech therapy treatment and intervention plan for children ranging in ages from 0 to 18 Plans, implements, evaluates and adapts speech language therapy services, goals and objectives to meet the specific needs of assigned clients, using theory, principles, best practices and treatment techniques Formal and/or informal assessment of clients’ language abilities/challenges Preparation of written reports or the initial assessment and/or treatment plan for each client serviced Provision of individual and/or small group intervention to clients, on site, in schools, and/or in client homes, as appropriate Maintenance of written records of the clients’ progress during intervention in the form of a daily progress note, completed after each client contact QUALIFICATIONS: Registration with College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or a health related field Pediatric, in-center or school-based rehabilitation service experience preferred Minimum 2 years of clinical experience Clear vulnerable sector check is required A bit about us We’re a people-focused, customer-first, purpose-driven team who works together every day to innovate and do good.
