This role involves restoring bathtubs to a clean, durable, like-new finish through professional reglazing and refinishing techniques. The ideal contractor takes pride in quality workmanship, maintains a safe work environment, and can consistently meet apartment turnover schedules. Key Responsibilities Prepare bathtubs and surrounding surfaces for refinishing Perform professional tub reglazing and refinishing applications Repair minor chips, cracks, stains, and surface imperfections Protect surrounding fixtures, flooring, and walls during work Ensure proper ventilation and adherence to manufacturer specifications Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas Complete projects within established turnover timelines Required Qualifications Proven experience in bathtub reglazing, refinishing, or resurfacing Strong knowledge of surface preparation and coating application techniques Ability to deliver high-quality finishes with attention to detail Ability to work independently and manage project schedules Own tools, equipment, and reliable transportation Valid business registration Insurance & Compliance Requirements (Mandatory) Commercial General Liability Insurance with a minimum of $2,000,000 coverage Active registration and good standing with the Nova Scotia Workers' Compensation Board (WCB) Compliance with all Nova Scotia Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) regulations WHMIS certification preferred Ability to safely handle and apply refinishing products and materials What We Offer Consistent volume of apartment turnover work throughout HRM Competitive per-unit or project-based compensation Reliable bi-weekly payment schedule Opportunity for a long-term contractor partnership Flexible scheduling based on project availability Application Process Interested contractors are invited to submit: Summary of relevant experience Availability Proof of liability insurance and WCB registration Photos or examples of recent tub reglazing projects (preferred)
