Community-Based Personal Support Workers (PSWs) Needed for Weekends

We are looking for awesome, self-driven Personal Support Workers to work throughout the Toronto/GTA area on Weekends and Holidays. Please note we are only moving forward with applicants who are available to support us with our client needs on weekends. Scheduling Requirements: Must be available WEEKENDS MUST be able to commit to a consistent, ongoing, weekly schedule for the foreseeable future Available and willing to see multiple clients throughout the day (we are a 24/7 business and require support days, evenings, overights, as well as holidays). Duties And Responsibilities Provide personal care to clients as outlined in their care plans Provide companionship and light housekeeping (whatever it takes to help a person stay at home) Prepare meals in accordance to the client and/or the family's request (must be open to preparing different kinds of cuisine). Adhere to providing personal care and help clients with their ADLs that is within the scope of practice for a Personal Support Worker Assists clients in all activities of daily living/ hygiene assistance, bathing, grooming, linen changes and so forth Assists clients with transfers, ambulation and exercises Meets the safety needs of the client and uses equipment safely and properly Functions within the limits of own experience and knowledge, and practices safely and competently within the job description Completes records and documentations accurately and thoroughly Requirements An asset to have a valid driver's license and reliable access to a car that can be used for daily work; if no vehicle, must be able to travel within the Toronto/GTA area. Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in English PSW certification from an approved and recognized educational institution or International nursing/ doctorate Certification Negative TB Test completed within the last year Valid CPR/First Aid Certificate Valid WHMIS2015 Certificate of Completion COVID Vaccination Receipts subject to an exemption pursuant to Ontario's Human Rights Code Immunization for measles, rubella, varicella, tetanus, and Diphtheria REQUIRED, immunization of Hepatitis B is strongly urged. Valid Criminal Record Check - must be completed within the last year Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in English Ability to identify and report client care concerns to Care Coordinators when needed Requires good judgement, the ability to work independently, and work cooperatively with an interdisciplinary team Current/Valid Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA) Registration an asset *The Care Company can make accommodations/modifications for individuals with disabilities during the hiring and onboarding process. Provide personal care to clients as outlined in their care plans and assist them with activities of daily living. Ensure client safety and maintain accurate documentation of care provided.

Candidates must have a PSW certification and be able to communicate effectively in English. Additional requirements include a valid driver's license, CPR/First Aid certification, and a recent criminal record check.
