Manager In Training GTA-Central

Ashley Canada is currently seeking a Manager In Training for the GTA Central Region. The Manager In Training (MIT) is a career building position. You will contribute to store success through individual and team performance. You will move through our training program and once completed you will be set up for success as a Manager within our Ashley Canada brand. As the Manager In Training, you will: * Meet or exceed individual sales targets throughout the training period * Complete all training activities, meeting minimal acceptable standards for performance * Achieve performance targets for assigned teams * Provide Sales management and Store management coverage during vacations and vacancies as required * Conduct Initial Sales Training sessions as required As a successful candidate you will have the following: * Sales experience with proven sales abilities * Business/Financial acumen * Sales Training experience * Proven track record of building high performance teams and strong working relationships * Self-manager with a strong work ethic and sense of urgency * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to handle difficult and/or intense situations diplomatically and professionally * Demonstrated working knowledge of MS Office products & ability to learn in-house computer programs * Ability to and willingness to work a retail schedule that includes evenings, weekends and holidays * Ability to travel for training periods of up to 2 months * Must be willing to re-locate to other stores within the region * Criminal Record Check required

The Manager In Training will work through a training program to eventually lead store operations and team performance. Responsibilities include meeting individual sales targets, managing assigned teams, and providing store management coverage.

Candidates must have proven sales and training experience, business acumen, and the ability to build high-performance teams. Requirements include flexibility for retail schedules, willingness to travel and relocate within the region, and a criminal record check.
