Warehouse Transportation Handler (eligible for a $1,000 signing bonus)

Dufresne Furniture and Appliances is currently seeking a Warehouse & Transportation Handler for our Swift Current store located at 145 2nd Avenue NW. This role is eligible for a $1,000 signing bonus! As a Warehouse & Transportation Handler, you will work as part of a team to provide exceptional delivery service to our guests. You will also provide support with warehousing, pick-ups, movement of goods and merchandise, customer service, and visual merchandising. As the Warehouse & Transportation Handler, you will: * Deliver product to the guest’s home and assemble product when required. * Safely and efficiently drive the scheduled route while keeping scheduling and providing exceptional customer service. * Conduct all activities safely and courteously with every effort to minimize damage to the product and the guest’s homes. * Receive product, product returns, accessories, supplies, and prepares outbound shipments. * Prepare product for delivery or floor placement. * Maintain and provide accurate inventory documentation for warehouse and sales floor. * General store internal maintenance (i.e., light bulbs, putty of walls, general handy-person duties, garbage, cleaning). * Maintenance and housekeeping of exterior (i.e., grass cutting, shoveling, cleanliness). * Understand and follow all safe work practices, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. * Ensure accurate completion of delivery work by using delivery tablets and taking required photos. * Abide by all Federal, Provincial and Municipal regulations concerning commercial truck drivers. * Communicate any issues (mechanical or otherwise) regarding the delivery truck. As a successful candidate you will have the following: * High school diploma, GED or equivalent skills and experience. * Valid Class 5 Driver’s license held for at least 1 year with a clean Driver Abstract (with air a plus). * 6 months to 1 year of Delivery Driver experience, with heavy/large product preferred. * Experience with hand tools is an asset. * Effective written and oral communication skills. * Excellent attention to detail. * Physically fit, able to lift and move objects up to 100 pounds. * Ability to provide a high level of customer service. * Able to work during retail hours (days, evenings, weekends, and holidays). * Able to work in extreme temperatures. * Safety footwear required. * Criminal Record Check will be required. #ca123

The Warehouse & Transportation Handler is responsible for delivering and assembling products at guest homes while providing exceptional customer service. Additionally, the role involves managing warehouse inventory, preparing outbound shipments, and performing general store maintenance and housekeeping.

Candidates must possess a valid Class 5 Driver's license with a clean abstract and have 6 months to 1 year of delivery driving experience. The role requires physical fitness to lift up to 100 pounds and the ability to work flexible retail hours including weekends and holidays.
