The Opportunity Whether you are looking to start a career in insurance or you are an experienced licensed professional looking for a new start, we have a role for you! We are seeking a full-time Insurance Advisor for our office located on UBC Campus. In this role, you will provide exceptional front-line customer service for Personal Lines and Autoplan policies, actively support client retention and account development, and handle quotes and placement for new business as needed. The ideal candidate will have a level 1 insurance license, experience in the insurance industry, and be fluent in Mandarin or Cantonese. Key Responsibilities Responsible to help with ICBC walk-in clients, ICBC Batching and Stock Orders Manage a book of business and strong client relationships through contact via phone, letters and emails Manage and process policy renewals on a timely basis and maintain high levels of client retention Provide insurance quotations by engaging with clients to determine their needs and provide expert advise to ensure the best coverage for them Educate clients on coverage options, policy terms, and insurance regulations Assist other staff as needed and perform other duties as required Maintain accurate records and documentation Generate new business leads and retain existing clients through excellent service Stay current on ICBC regulations and industry trends About You Level 1 Insurance license or willing to obtain Minimum 6 months previous experience with ICBC autoplan and Personal Lines Strong verbal and written communication and problem solving skills Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Flexible schedule and team-oriented mindset with a commitment to superior client service Proficiency in MS Office Suite and insurance management systems Working knowledge with broker portals Fluency in Mandarin is preferred Why Join Us?
