Jim Pattison Collision & Glass is looking for an experienced Automotive Body Shop Technician to join our team! As a high-volume collision facility, we offer a modern, state-of-the-art work environment, quality equipment, and an experienced team that takes pride in delivering exceptional repairs. Schedule: This is a full-time, permanent role of 40 hours per week. The regular scheduled hours will be Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This role reports to the Collision Manager. A Day in the Life Perform structural and cosmetic collision repairs on a variety of vehicles Remove, repair, and replace damaged body panels and components Straighten frames and unibody structures using specialized equipment Weld, sand, fit, and prepare vehicles for the paint process Ensure repairs meet manufacturer specifications and quality standards Diagnose and document additional damage as needed Work closely with estimators, parts, and paint departments to keep repairs on schedule Reassemble vehicles, including trim, lighting, and safety-related components Perform final quality inspections to ensure a safe, professional repair Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and collision repair equipment Deliver high-quality workmanship while meeting production and efficiency goals What We’re Looking For Automotive Body Repair Certification, I-car structural welding Certification, and a positive can-do attitude! A valid MB Driver’s license is required, including a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract is required. Experience repairing and replacing body panels Welding and metal repair skills Frame and structural repair experience Knowledge of vehicle measuring systems Ability to read repair estimates and manufacturer procedures Detail oriented, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Reliable, punctual, and dependable Ability to work the physical requirements of a service technician role Ability to regularly lift up to 60 pounds Ability to stand for extended periods of time High level of mobility, dexterity, endurance, and sensory awareness Ability to work in an automotive shop environment Indoor automotive shop with multiple service bays Exposure to noise (engines, air tools), fumes (exhaust, solvents), and dust Work performed around moving vehicles, hoists, and heavy equipment Temperature can vary (shops may be cooler in winter, warmer in summer despite heating/ventilation) What We Offer Competitive earnings.
