Jim Pattison Hyundai Northshore is looking for Automotive Technicians from Level 1–4 Apprentices through to Red Seal Certified Technicians to join our Service Department. Whether you’re just starting your apprenticeship, working toward your Red Seal, or already an experienced Red Seal Technician, this is an opportunity to build your skills and grow your career with a supportive and experienced team. As a Hyundai Service Technician, you’ll work on a variety of vehicles while developing your technical skills and gaining hands-on experience. You’ll perform maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs in line with Hyundai and dealership standards for safety, quality, and performance. A Day in the Life Diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles in accordance with manufacturer and dealership standards Perform thorough vehicle inspections with accurate documentation and measurements Identify mechanical and electrical issues, recommend solutions, and communicate findings clearly to Service team Partner with Service Advisors to provide updates on repair timelines or recommend additional safety work Conduct road tests and pre-delivery inspections on new inventory to ensure every vehicle leaving the shop is in top condition Coordinate with the Parts Department to source what you need and manage warranty labeling Assist fellow technicians when needed to maintain overall shop productivity Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment at all times Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards Ensure a high degree of confidentiality with company and customer information Participate in maintaining a supportive and engaging working environment What We’re Looking For Level 1, 2, 3, or 4 Apprentice Technician, or Red Seal Certified Technician Previous automotive service experience is an asset Currently enrolled in or actively working toward an Automotive Service Technician apprenticeship Red Seal Certified Technicians are encouraged to apply, or candidates who are currently eligible and actively pursuing Red Seal certification Able to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, with a keen attention to detail Detail oriented, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Reliable, punctual, and dependable Ability to work the physical requirements of a service technician role Ability to regularly lift up to 60 pounds Ability to stand for extended periods of time High level of mobility, dexterity, endurance, and sensory awareness Ability to work in an automotive shop environment Indoor automotive shop with multiple service bays Exposure to noise (engines, air tools), fumes (exhaust, solvents), and dust Work performed around moving vehicles, hoists, and heavy equipment Temperature can vary (shops may be cooler in winter, warmer in summer despite heating/ventilation) What We Offer Competitive wages Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and insurance Unlimited opportunities for advancement, growth, and development Manufacturer led training opportunities Access to exclusive corporate discount programs Recognition and rewards programs A great team atmosphere and a positive, supportive working environment How to Apply If this sounds like a great fit, please apply with your resume today!
