Jim Pattison Subaru Northshore is looking for a motivated and hardworking Level 4 Apprentice Technician to join our Service Team. As a Level 4 Apprentice, you’ll have the opportunity to build on your automotive skills while gaining valuable hands-on experience in a busy dealership environment. You’ll work alongside experienced technicians and our Service Team, assisting with vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, inspections, and repairs while continuing to develop your technical knowledge. You’ll have the opportunity to work on a variety of Subaru vehicles and repairs, follow manufacturer procedures, use modern diagnostic equipment, and learn from experienced technicians. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to continue developing their skills, gain dealership experience, and progress toward becoming a Red Seal Automotive Technician. This position reports to the Service Manager of the dealership. A Day in the Life Diagnose and repair Subaru vehicles while following manufacturer repair procedures and dealership standards. Complete maintenance services, inspections, and repairs with accuracy and attention to detail. Identify mechanical and electrical concerns and communicate recommended solutions clearly with the Service team. Work closely with Service Advisors to provide repair updates, timelines, and recommendations. Perform road tests, quality checks, and pre-delivery inspections to ensure vehicles are ready for our customers. Work with the Parts Department to obtain required components and properly manage warranty parts. Support other technicians and contribute to an efficient, team-oriented shop environment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace. Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and dealership standards. What We’re Looking For Level 4 Apprentice status Previous automotive repair experience. Valid BC Driver’s Licence and satisfactory driver’s abstract. Ability to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities. A commitment to quality workmanship and attention to detail. Ability to manage priorities in a busy service environment. A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
