Assistant Vice President, Fund Tax Toronto | Hybrid (4 days in office, 1 day remote) Are you a tax professional looking to join a fast-growing investment management organization where you'll have the opportunity to shape new processes and make a real impact? Our client, a leading global alternative investment firm, is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Fund Tax to join their expanding operations. This is a newly created position offering the chance to work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, external advisors, and fund administrators to support tax compliance across a growing portfolio of Canadian investment funds. What you'll be doing: Support fund tax structuring initiatives and coordinate with internal teams and external tax advisors. Manage CRA and Revenue Québec registrations, tax accounts, and ongoing correspondence. Coordinate tax payment processes with Fund Administration and Finance teams. Oversee tax notices, documentation, and communication with regulatory authorities. Assist with Canadian income tax and sales tax compliance, working alongside external service providers. Coordinate the collection and distribution of tax documents, including investor tax reporting. Support operational processes by managing tax-related systems, documentation, and stakeholder communications. Play a key role in a newly created position with significant visibility and ownership. Work alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative and supportive environment. What we're looking for: Bachelor's degree. Experience in tax, fund accounting, public accounting, or investment operations. Previous experience working with the CRA is considered an asset. Strong Excel skills and confidence learning new systems. Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
