This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance leader to play a critical role in a publicly traded organization’s financial reporting and transformation agenda. As the Director of Finance, Reporting & Special Projects, you will lead the preparation and delivery of IFRS-compliant financial reporting while partnering with senior leadership on strategic initiatives designed to enhance reporting processes, strengthen internal controls, and improve overall finance operations. The role offers a unique combination of technical accounting, external reporting, project leadership, and business partnering, providing exposure across the organization and the opportunity to drive meaningful change. Ideal for a CPA with public company reporting experience, this position is well suited to someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys solving complex accounting and reporting challenges, and has a proven track record of leading finance transformation and process improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Lead the preparation, consolidation, and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with IFRS. Oversee external reporting deliverables and support the preparation of financial statements and related disclosures. Develop and enhance reporting frameworks, dashboards, and financial reporting processes to improve quality, consistency, and efficiency. Lead special projects involving finance transformation, process optimization, systems enhancements, and reporting improvements. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to streamline reporting processes and strengthen internal controls. Identify reporting inefficiencies, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Support internal and external audit requirements related to financial reporting and special projects. Provide insightful analysis and commentary on financial results to support executive decision-making Qualifications & Experience: CPA designation Big 4 public accounting experience Strong technical accounting and IFRS expertise Significant experience in public company financial reporting Proven leadership experience within complex or multi-entity organizations Demonstrated success leading finance transformation, process improvement, or special project initiatives Advanced Excel and financial reporting systems expertise Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Preferred Experience: Experience with SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, or similar ERP/reporting platforms Exposure to automation, data visualization, and business intelligence tools Experience supporting publicly traded companies Previous experience managing teams and cross-functional projects Additional Information: The Mason Group is committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and accessible recruitment process.
