Rotation/Shifts Days, Monday to Friday, 4 and 8 hour shifts (07:30-15:30; 07:45-15:45; 08:00-16:00, 07:30-11:30; 08:00-12:00; 12:00-16:00; 08:00-14:30) For information purposes only - The Hospital reserves the right to change. Basic Requirements Certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario; Current BCLS; Minimum of 1 year recent experience in a surgical ambulatory care clinic (within last 2 years); Medication administration course; Demonstrates theoretical knowledge of the care of the Surgical patient and an ability to apply this knowledge in a clinical setting; Demonstrates the ability to participate as an active member of the multidisciplinary health-care team; Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively in an oral and a written format with patients, public, colleagues and other health disciplines; Demonstrates an understanding of the application and relevance of the Quality Assurance Program and participates in unit activities; Demonstrates theoretical knowledge of the Nursing Utilization Collection system and willingness to participate on an ongoing basis; Demonstrates knowledge of principles of safe medication administration and ability to practice this in a clinical setting; Able to perform all tasks related to this position; Must be eligible to work in Canada; What You Can Expect From Us The Ottawa Hospital is committed to providing a healthy, safe, and inclusive work environment for everyone.
