Senior Substation Engineer

Job Title: Senior Substation Engineer Hybrid/Remote: Hybrid, onsite 3 days/week Location: Quebec, QC or San Diego, CA Duration: Permanent, full-time Salary Range: $135,000 to $155,000 (DOE) Job Qualifications: Job Qualifications: Required Education/Experience Bachelor of Science Degree in electrical (preferred), civil or mechanical engineering. Good understanding of PV, Storage and/or Wind technology, preferably solar. Previous experience of 7+ years on renewable energy projects is required. Minimum 2+ years as a project engineer. Requires diversified knowledge of relevant codes, standards and engineering principles and practices required to produce safe, efficient, reliable, easy to operate and maintain, and cost-effective designs. Experienced with various Microsoft and engineering software including AutoCAD, ETAP and/or any other power system software. Experience/Knowledge with PV tooling software is preferred (i.e. PVSyst, PVCAse, System Advisory Model) Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong organizational skills Ability to manage several projects/tasks simultaneously. Pro-active, flexible and autonomous Highly motivated self-starter and good team player Utilize problem solving skills to quickly address project challenges. Experience reviewing civil, structural or electrical engineering design packages. Desire to work in a dynamic environment alongside people with varied interest and background.

The Senior Substation Engineer will be responsible for producing safe, efficient, and reliable designs for renewable energy projects. This role involves managing multiple projects and addressing technical challenges effectively.

Candidates must have a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical, civil, or mechanical engineering and at least 7 years of experience in renewable energy projects. A minimum of 2 years as a project engineer and proficiency in relevant engineering software are also required.
