Closing date: August 6, 2026 Scope Of Work Innu Inuit Redpath Limited Partnership (IIR) is mining contractor that operates projects in 2 underground mines located on the east coast of Labrador, approximately 350 km north of Goose Bay. The work consists of building/ installing mine infrastructure such as high pressure doors, regulator walls, wash bays, maintenance bays, fuel bay, etc. IIR recognizes the Impact & Benefits Agreements with the Innu Nation & the Nunatsiavut Government in which Innu & Inuit workers have first preference for employment at Voisey’s Bay Site. Job Summary Under the supervision of the Lead Journeyperson Electrician and the Journey person Electrical Supervisor, the primary role of a Journeyperson electrician is to install, wire, maintain & perform preventive maintenance and repairs to electric equipment on the surface and underground areas. The incumbent will also be required to work with PLC and communication systems. Responsibilities Must be able to comprehend written and verbal instructions as required to perform their duties in a safe and efficient manner Must be capable of reading & understanding electrical drawings Must have direct experience installing and maintaining: Troubleshoot and repair ventilation fans and mine pumps Electric/hydraulic mining equipment Phone and mine communication systems PLC and other advanced or automation systems High Voltage (600 V to 15,000 V) and Low Voltage Power and control systems Underground sub-stations Fabricate when required electrical panels and other necessary Installation of electrical cables Perform safely and timely emergency repairs to equipment Must be able to communicate written and verbal instructions to subordinates Must have skills to help train new employees and apprentices The duties and responsibilities listed above are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive Qualifications Journeyperon Red Seal Electrician certificate of competence for Industrial or Construction and Maintenance Minimum five years experience in an underground mining environment Ontario Hard Rock Underground Service Type Common Core (or other provincial equivalents) Required Skills Ability to multi-task and work safely and effectively Ability to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently About Us In 1962, Jim Redpath’s vision for the company was much the same as it is today; offering a high level of service to the mining industry, which exceeds current standards and provides challenge for its employees.
