The primary role of the Jumbo Operator is to set up and operate single or multiple boom jumbos to perform drilling and blasting tasks. The operator must ensure all work is conducted safely while adhering to mine plans and specifications.

Candidates must have at least 3 years of Jumbo experience, 1 year of scoop experience, and 1 year of experience in installing services and blasting. Mandatory certifications include a valid driver's license, General Explosives Permit, and a DEP in mineral extraction or equivalent.
