Location: McKenzie Corner, 1286 McKenzie Ave., Victoria, BC V8P 5P2 THE ROLE We are currently seeking a part time Deli Clerk to join our Root Cellar team! As a Deli Clerk in our Chop Shop team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and presentation of our curated selection of fresh and cured meats, artisan cheeses and delicious house made salads. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for great local food and providing exceptional customer service. Previous experience in the food industry is considered an asset, but we are willing to train the right person with the right attitude! Serve customers from both the cured and fresh meat cases. Provide professional and attentive customer service. Accurately portion, pack, and label products for retail sale. Adhere to all food-handling and safety policies and procedures. Assist in the preparation of in-house salads, sandwiches, and sauces. Gain product knowledge in order to advise customers on the best options to suit their needs.
