Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Biomedical Field Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair a variety of medical equipment. This role supports healthcare professionals by ensuring equipment operates safely and according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards. Reports To: Service Manager Compensation: $60,000 cad base salary + additional benefits Key Responsibilities Perform maintenance, installations, repairs, calibrations, adjustments, and safety testing on medical equipment in accordance with manufacturer standards Service physiotherapy, sterilization, and patient monitoring equipment Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and plumbing-related issues Maintain accurate service records and client inventory within the computerized maintenance management system Investigate safety issues and equipment incidents and assist with corrective actions Review technical manuals, engineering drawings, and servicing requirements Use testing and calibration equipment to complete servicing activities Interprets and reads schematics, technical manuals, and biomedical diagrams Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional communication with clients and team members Complete reports, technical documentation, shipping documents, and required paperwork on time Participate in training to stay current with codes, standards, and best practices Qualifications Diploma in Biomedical Technology or equivalent Experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic and mechanical equipment Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including CSA standards Ability to travel locally for service calls as needed Valid Class G driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Membership Certified Technicians and Technologists Association of Manitoba is an asset If Interested, please send your resume and cover letter to: [email protected] Why Work at Stevens?
