Role Description The Regional Operations Manager is a full-time hybrid role based in Alberta with a combination of in-office visits to regional centers and work-from-home flexibility. This role oversees operational performance across multiple The UPS Store locations, ensuring consistent execution of brand standards, service quality, and compliance with company policies and procedures. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing store performance metrics, guiding franchisees on operational best practices, and identifying opportunities to improve service efficiency and profitability. The Regional Operations Manager conducts regular site visits, supports training and development of store teams, and collaborates with corporate departments to implement new initiatives, systems, and promotions. The role also involves resolving escalated operational issues, supporting new store openings or transitions, and maintaining strong relationships with franchise owners to help them achieve their business goals. Qualifications Demonstrated experience in multi-unit retail or franchise operations management, including performance analysis and process improvement. Strong skills in leadership, coaching, and relationship management, with the ability to support and influence independent business owners. Proficiency in business planning, budget oversight, and operational metrics, with solid analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present information, conduct training, and manage conflict constructively. Comfort with hybrid work, including regular regional travel within and around Calgary, AB, and effective remote collaboration. Experience in retail, logistics, printing, or business services environments is an asset. Post-secondary education in business, operations management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency with common office and reporting tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentation software, CRM or operations platforms).
