APIGEE Senior Developer

Position: APIGEE Senior Developer Location: Toronto, On – Hybrid Job Description: Design and develop Apigee API proxies, shared flows, and policy configurations using standardized reusable templates. Execute API migrations from Azure APIM to Apigee Hybrid — including standard and non-standard API patterns (REST, GraphQL, SOAP, XML). Implement security policies — OAuth 2.0, JWT validation, mTLS, rate limiting, PII masking — as per defined shared flow standards. Build and maintain CI/CD pipeline components using GitHub Actions for automated proxy deployment across environments. Perform unit and integration testing using Postman and Karate; support LOB-led PAT testing and validation. Document implementation decisions, proxy configurations, and migration patterns to support knowledge transfer. Participate actively in sprints, daily standups, code reviews, and POD-level delivery tracking 6+ years in API/integration development with 3+ years hands-on Apigee (Edge, Hybrid, or X) Proficiency in Apigee proxy development: policies, key value maps, target servers, caching, fault handling Working knowledge of OAuth 2.0, JWT, and mTLS in Apigee context Experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, SOAP/XML — able to implement and migrate any pattern Familiarity with GitHub Actions or Jenkins for CI/CD automation API testing experience: Postman, Karate, or equivalent Strong problem-solving skills with ability to work independently in client-facing environments Nice to have: Experience with Azure APIM — helpful for migration context Google Apigee certification Exposure to Apigee Hybrid on GCP Regards Patrick Fernandez Talent Acquisition Group - Strategic Recruitment Manager
