Journeyperson Red seal Mechanics and Electricians needed for a project in BC!

Thyssen Mining is currently seeking Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanics and Journeyman Red Seal Electrician for one of our projects located in British Columbia. This is a fly in/fly out position operating on a 14 x 14 schedule (2 weeks on 2 weeks off). JOURNEYPERSON HEAVY DUTY MECHANIC * Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair underground mobile equipment * Perform routine and preventative maintenance on heavy-duty equipment * Repair or replace mechanical, hydraulic, and diesel engine components * Test and verify repairs to ensure equipment meets manufacturer and safety standards * Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders * Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives * Promote and maintain a strong safety culture in all work activities JOURNEYMAN RED SEAL ELECTRICIAN * Install, troubleshoot, and maintain underground electrical systems * Perform maintenance on dewatering systems, ventilation, and fixed plant infrastructure * Diagnose electrical faults using testing equipment and schematics * Install and maintain PLC systems, VFDs, and communication systems * Read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications * Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, standards, and site requirements * Support safe work practices and ongoing operational improvements QUALIFICATIONS HEAVY DUTY MECHANIC * Interprovincial Red Seal (Heavy Equipment Technician) * Experience working on underground or heavy mobile mining equipment (asset) * Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and mechanical systems * Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex issues ELECTRICIAN * Journeyman Red Seal Electrician Certification * Experience in underground mining or heavy industrial environments (asset) * Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, and controls * Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings GENERAL REQUIREMENTS (BOTH ROLES) * Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices * Ability to work in physically demanding underground environments * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills * Team-oriented with effective communication skills * Willingness to work rotational schedules (day/night shifts) WHAT WE OFFER * Competitive hourly wages (based on experience) ($66-75/hr) * FIFO with paid travel days * 14/14 rotation * Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, life insurance, RRSP) * Opportunity to work on diverse underground mining projects across Canada Please click the Apply button on our Thyssen Mining job ad page. Perform inspection, diagnosis, and repair of underground mobile equipment and electrical systems. Maintain fixed plant infrastructure and ensure all work meets safety and manufacturer standards.

Candidates must hold a Red Seal certification as either a Heavy Duty Mechanic or an Electrician. Experience in underground mining or heavy industrial environments is highly preferred.
